InPower Energy was founded in the belief that by challenging the status quo and bringing people evidence based, actionable, and data driven insights and resources, we can support them in making the best decisions for their prosperity, freedom and wellbeing, all while avoiding common mistakes that can jeopardize results.
In a world with more access to information than ever before, finding unbiased and evidence based insights on critical topics can be surprisingly difficult. A significant amount of the information that we readily receive through media and popular news outlets on topics that are important to our daily lives, are often construed by biases or alternative motives. Energy is one of these critical topics.
Energy is at the heart of almost everything we do as a society, from keeping our lights on and homes warm to allowing us to enjoy our most cherished moments with family and friends. It enables our basic survival and modern luxury's, including our ability to build, communicate, travel, and accomplish everyday needs. It allows our modern economy to function and enables businesses to provide the products and services society depend on.
Given the critical importance of energy to our every day lives, the rapid changes currently taking place in energy generation, supply, consumption, and stability will impact all of us across the globe. How well we are able to navigate these changes to ensure the best outcomes for us and our loved ones, will depend on the quality of the insights and resources available to support us.

Get to know Andrew Hicks
Andrew has always had a curiosity for understanding how things work, challenging the status quo, and finding new solutions to current challenges. Andrew brings his passion and years of experience in both energy and engineering to leading InPower Energy and helping empower people through better information and solutions.
Andrew Hicks, is passionate about supporting the freedom of individuals to think critically and make the best decisions personally and professionally. Having access to evidence based insights that are easy to understand and implement, is critical to making this possible. Andrew is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Masters degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering and Policy from Carleton University. Andrew holds a LEED AP certification and sits on the board of directors for several not-for-profit organizations including the CACB and PeriCarbon.
Andrew is the founder of InPower Energy with a mission to empower people to achieve prosperity, well-being, and resiliency through the application of high-quality energy insights and solutions. Andrew is also the US Director of Professional Services at BGIS and leads their Energy and EV charging program development across North America.
